Queen City Big Band is a 20-piece big band plus vocalist. The band comprises mainly up and coming young musicians from the Auckland area. They are added to a nucleus of fine section leaders under the musical directorship of John Callison.

The band performs from a huge repertoire of big band hits ranging from the early swing music of Basie, Ellington and Glen Millar to some of the latest rock tunes using arrangements from all over the world.

There is nothing quite like a big band.
