Smart talk, great music served up LATE at Auckland Museum.
Auckland Museum comes alive on the first Thursday evening of each month with the popular series, LATE at the Museum. Last year's LATE season welcomed a year-long investigation into the theme of innovation – featuring panel discussions with this country’s leading innovators and music by our top performers. This year’s season of LATE at the Museum sees us respond to topical issues and collection and exhibition themes.
This week at LATE: Are we really a rugby nation?
Smart talk:
Join media personality Maggie Barry in the stunning 360-degree event centre as she asks renowned commentators rugby legend Grant Fox, historian and author Dr Jock Phillips and political studies lecturer Dr Jennifer Curtin: Does rugby still shape our nation? Does rugby make us "Kiwi"?
Great music:
From 8.30pm Wellington based psychedelic blues-rock band The Nudge perform in the Atrium. The Nudge's recently released album "Big Nudge Pie" has been garnering great critical reviews. One Auckland's most popular DJs, Submariner will close the night.
A cash bar and food will be available. Doors open 6.30pm. Door sales $20.
2-for-1 door sales for AUT Students and staff. Present current ID or business card at the door.
AQUA special offer: tickets only $7.50 at this LATE - usually $15. Tickets on sale on the evening.
