A floral festival to celebrate rugby.
"On the Ball” will celebrate rugby through the innovative & creative use of foliage & flowers. Palmerston North is hosting Georgia and Argentina rugby teams and many visitors, and this show will provide a special event for everyone who enjoys something artistic, different & beautiful.
Intriguing titles of the displays include “Between the Posts”, “In the Bin” to the ever-popular “Mexican Wave” and these will challenge designers and delight the public at the same time with the skilful interpretation of the titles.
Open, intermediate and the novice designers will put their work up for both judges and the public.
Displays by allied artists will be complimented by matching floral designs. The crafts will be for sale. Plants will also be for sale.
Café Brie will provide delicious food.
On the Ball has been funded by the Palmerston North City Council and Creative Communities New Zealand.
