A 3-day event which this year celebrates the De Luxe Theatre Opotiki's 85th anniversary as well as New Zealand's hosting of the Rugby World Cup.
Highlights are the inaugural Silent Film-Making competition Finals: the NZ Film Archive hour-long silent documentary 'All Blacks' featuring the 1905 Originals and the 1924/1925 Invincibles: special guest author Lloyd Jones reading from his novel 'The Book Of Fame' about the 1905 Originals.
A great selection of silent films showcasing some of the best talent of the silent era including Buster Keaton, Douglas Fairbanks, Harold Lloyd and Charlie Chaplin. Get into the atmosphere of the Festival by dressing up in the style of the era and treat yourselves to some classic entertainment.
