Zionhill are stoked to be performing again in Auckland at the 420 along with Chur-Bo. Zionhill is a Utopian place of unity, Peace and freedom; a safe spiritual homeland, like in heaven, or a kind of peace of mind in one's present life. Zionhill hails from Raglan on the majestic west coast of New Zealand's Northern Isle and is the country's latest offering to the international world of music. A conscious yet vibrant, home-grown roots band pushing the musical boundaries with their passion and dedication to Aotearoa roots music..

Zionhill have played at various festivals throughout the North Island overwhelming crowds with their live performances such as Tribal Pride, Hamilton Gardens Arts Festival, Boardies and Bikini’s, Waitangi Day Celebrations and Tribal Pride

Fellow musicians, DJs and those in the know would define Zionhill's music as 'conscious dub fusion' or 'roots rock'. Although their influences range vastly, they have a sound distinctly their own and celebrate that through their music. They have a love for that special experience of playing in front of a crowd, "We like to make a connection when playing live. Our songs are conscious, about life, about the environment and what's happening here in Aotearoa (Maori for Land of the Long White Cloud) and the world today".

Formed in 2007, Zionhill is made up of co-founding members, bass player Damian Hepi-Te Huia; lead guitarist & guitar synth maestro Shai Rudolph; alongside front man Gavin Dempsey & in 2009 introduced drummer Jesse Bates directly from Melbourne, Australia.

Zionhill released their EP New Years Eve 2010 and are due to release their debut album in spring this year.

Zionhill have a particular saying playing live where ever they go: “Love your ladies, cherish your children and be excellent to each other “
