A unique blend of spoken word and afrobeat comes to the Late Lounge stage this September. All galleries, cafe, shop and bar open until 9pm.

"My aim is to create true soul music that ignites people with the passion I experience when performing."

The infectious, pulsating sounds of the afro-beat drumming infused an upbringing surrounded by the '70s era of funk, soul and jazz and this energy has certainly influenced the performance of Bohemian Thought’s songs...

Prior to immigrating to New Zealand in 2006, Bohemian Thought was establishing himself on the popular open mic circuit in London, performing spoken word and poetry, with additional theatre performances and short plays. In 2006, he starred as the lead role in the British short film “Natty on the Run” directed by the award winning Paul Akintunde and has played live percussion in New Zealand with local favourites including Batucada, Sam Manzanza & the Rhythm Africa Band and Olmecha Supreme. Now established in Wellington, Bohemian Thought is concentrating on developing his own band and collaborating with other conscious musicians in Aotearoa and across the globe. - www.bohemianthought.com/
