Tenei a Wairoa (This Place) is an exhibition of artworks from the former Manukau City Council Art Collection. With works from a variety of artists in diverse media it is a snapshot of the artistic development of the Manukau area over the years 2003 – 2010 and reinforces the multicultural nature of our community. By focusing on work influenced or executed by Maori and Pacific Island artists the exhibition provides a new perspective on living in the Manukau region and prompts discussion of what it means to be from ‘this place’.
