Fresh from performing in London and Antwerp, Footnote Dance’s Made in New Zealand programme features works from Kiwi dance exponents Julia Milsom, Lyne Pringle, Malia Johnston and Victoria Columbus. Julia’s Nature of the Beast draws inspiration from the punk era and the ‘bestial’ power of strong women. Lyne Pringle’s acclaimed Living Arrangements, is set to music by Chris Knox. Malia’s Instances (when we are like horses) pushes boundaries physically and tests the dancers’ sense of space. Finally, Vitoria’s Subsequently Confused is set to music by Cantabrian Jody Lloyd and plays with rhythm and the dynamics of a trio.
Held in the Geo Dome, North Hagley Park Events Village.
