Wholetone Shakedown - Reggae, Ska and Rocksteady

Wholetone music brings you a night of the finest reggae, ska and rocksteady music around. Featuring 3 live bands:

The Acetones will be playing their first ever show but are no strangers on the NZ live music scene. The 4 piece instrumental group feature members of prominent NZ ska acts such as the Managers, Skaface Claw, Roofdog and Skatalator.

Roofdog will be igniting the dancefloor with all their classics as well as new material. New up and comers the KJ's have made the move to Auckland from Kaipara to bring their sweet sounds to the city people.

DJ Selecto will be playing his finest cuts for all the true lovers of Jamaican reggae, raga, rocksteady and a whole bunch more and special guest Paul Hooligan will warm the night up with a special acoustic set.

About Selecto: Has been selecting since the mid '90s. Plays mainly (but not only) reggae, punk, hip hop and funk. Has been with Base FM since 2004, as host of The Rewind Show. A founding member of Earthtone Hi Fi & Earthtone Rockers. Former member of the Bassteppa sound. Runs the Punky Reggae Party series around the country.

Roofdog is a ska band from West Auckland that plays originals and covers.
