Ake Ake Kia Kaha – the spirit of Maori rugby offers a special insight into the world of Maori rugby and what it means to be a Maori rugby player. The exhibition combines exclusive personal interviews with NZ Maori rugby team players who have shaped the game – Hosea Gear, Buck Shelford, Muru Walters, Tane Norton – and powerful objects including the Prince of Wales Cup and a 1924 Invincibles' souvenir tour ball signed by rugby legend George Nepia.

As countries from around the world vie for glory on the rugby field, Ake Ake Kia Kaha provides a unique perspective on the game. Visitors will leave with a deeper understanding of the unique character and contribution Maori have made to transform the international game of rugby.
