Enjoy your research and ask as many questions as you want at the Karen Kalopulu Family History Lock-In.
The annual lock-in is a unique 12-hour overnight research opportunity founded by Karen Kalopulu, our family history librarian who passed away suddenly in 2009 after being with us for 30 years.
Run in partnership with the New Zealand Society of Genealogists, the lock-in offers participants the chance to:
•'camp out' and enjoy a night of unlimited research at the Auckland Central Research Centre – who knows what you'll find?
•discuss your research with other family history researchers and experts in a friendly atmosphere.
We also offer the following two options for those who book the lock-in:
•5.30pm: Orientation Tour of Central Auckland Research Centre
•7pm: Researching your family history in the British Isles seminar
And once again, you could purchase our lock-in t-shirts for $25 each.
Bookings are essential:
Use our online form to book the lock-in and buy t-shirts, or you could phone us on (09) 307 7771.
What previous researchers say about the lock-in:
“Just like to thank you and the team for a great night. Well organised, lots to eat, and lots and lots to research. I had great success.“
