Full day cruise includes lunch and guided walking tour with an expert conservationist on Motuihe Island.
A unique opportunity to ride on this expedition vessel which was part of the nuclear peace flotilla in the Tasman in 2001, 2002.
We will be departing at 9.00 am, from the Maritime Museum in downtown Auckland and arriving at Motuihe Island around 11.00. At Motuihe an expert guide will give you a walking tour of the island describing the work which is occurring there to replant and preserve our precious native wildlife. We will then return to the boat for a delicious picnic lunch before we sail back to Auckland, arriving in harbour at 4.30 pm.
Tiama is a custom built expedition yacht that will be in Auckland for September before she heads back to Bluff for her summer charter season in the Sub Antarctic Islands of New Zealand. This is a unique chance to take a ride on Tiama and to met her crew. Tiama has done extensive work around the globe including PNG, South America and Antarctica and was apart of the Tasman Nuclear free Flotilla in 2001 and 2001. To find out more see www.tiama.com
