Annah Mac - 'Little Stranger' Album Release Show

To celebrate the release of her debut album ‘Little Stranger’, Southland born pop darling Annah Mac is playing a one-off Auckland show at The Basement on the 8th of September.

This will be the first live outing of many songs from 'Little Stranger', which showcase Annah’s catchy anthemic pop sensibilities all the while complimenting her lyrical sincerity; the music that makes up her debut album are a mix of personal experiences and stories told from the perspectives of close friends.

The majority of Little Stranger was recorded at Roundhead studios and produced by internationally renowned American producer Brady Blade, with Josh Fountain from Kidz In Space and Wayne Bell and Ben King finishing other tracks.

Annah has won a large array on New Zealand songwriting and performing awards: Play It Strange songwriting award, Rockquest Female Musician award, Golden Guitar (or three). Her latest single ‘Celia’ has received the honor of a nomination for the highly prestigious Silver Scroll Songwriting Award.

Annah’s backing band features the rhythm section from the disbanded ‘The Electric Confectionaires’ and is complete with four part harmony, glockenspiel and the searing bright red electric guitar (and hair) of Jesse Sheehan, winner of Rockquest ’09.
