Romancing the Violin: A Musical Gift

Cathy Irons (violin) and Mark Wilson (piano) perform famous, beautiful and romantic violin pieces. The duo show their versatility as the concert progresses, including the well-known jazz standards in their programme, Autumn Leaves and My One and Only Love. A few Christmas carols for the audience to join in will add sparkle to the festive spirit.

Cathy plays in the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, performs regularly in chamber music concerts, records and arranges for several rock artists and has recorded 5 classical CDs. She has recently “gone public” with her jazz violin and hasn't stopped to look backwards.

Mark is an exceptional musician, well-known in the Queenstown community performing in the band, Master Blasters and singing in the Queenstown Community Choir.
