Richard Grainger & Chris Parkinson

Two artists in their own right join together for a tour of New Zealand. Richard is from Yorkshire roots and was raised in Middlesbrough, the industrial giant on the North East Coast of England. Chris was born of Irish parents in Lancashire. Both were raised with music imprinted in their souls and both played from an early age.

Richard has published 10 albums in a career which has spanned more than 25 years and is about to release his latest album in March 2011. Chris has recorded solo and with many fine artists, being widely admired as a studio musician. He is an expert workshop leader and tutor. Both found fame in bands. Richard with the Teesside Fettlers while Chris after leaving Yorkshire Relish went on to co-found the House Band.

Both artists have performed around the world in all types of venues, festivals and events. Since recording together and touring in the '90s they have, in the last couple of years, reformed their partnership and are in demand once again as a formidable duo. Richard has toured previously in New Zealand and looks forward to renewing old acquaintances.
