Janine and the Mixtape are a magical music-box of MIA, New Order, The XX, Notorious BIG and Adele. There's never been a local songbird quite like her before. The girl can sing! She likes basketball, painting, skateboarding and surprises... a jumble not unlike the wonder you'll feel when you first hear her live.

Having recently won the Juice TV and University of Auckland's Songwriter of The Year Finals in September, Janine and the Mixtape have been making big steps. Some recent events include delighting ears at Live at the Islands (with Anika Moa, Kirsten Morell), Waitkere Sounds Festival, End Of Daze Festival (with State of Mind, Kidz In Space, Motorcade and Computers Want Me Dead), being the opening act for the 'Tomorrow When The War Began' NZ film premiere, Fashion Quarterly magazine's 30th Birthday Party and Girlfriend Magazine's Live Tour.

With mighty big thanks to NZ on Air, you can look forward to hearing some fresh tunes bouncing out of your radios very soon!
