At PechaKucha Night Christchurch 12 you'll hear a dozen people speak about their creative work, passions or ideas in the PechaKucha rapid-fire format.

Each speaker shows 20 images and with each on screen for only 20 seconds each presenter has a total of 6 minutes and 40 seconds in which to share their message. The challenge of 20x20 gives every PechaKucha Night audience exposure to an exhilarating variety of ideas and projects in one whirlwind of an evening.

PechaKucha Night Christchurch 12 is presented in association with the Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna O Waiwhetu.

Programme:
- Marissa Johnpillai, poet, experiment and Creative Junk enthusiast: on the afterlife of junk;
- Colin Meurk, Landcare botanist: on ecology and the new Christchurch;
- DK, social media manager and founder of MediaSnackers: on the illiteracy of play;
- Kyle Lewis, architectural studies student & designer at F3 Design: on an Urban National Park in Christchurch;
- Simon Kong, technical producer: on I (heart) techno;
- Chloe Geoghegan, museum studies: on one thing at a time

Beer break

- Steph Walker, arts generalist: on how mixtapes rule ok;
- Tim Church, urban designer: on urban China;
- Netta Egoz, once was young & bored in Christchurch: on an inner city youth venue;
- Louis Brown, co-founder of Social Innovation: on online to offline: how online activity can create 'real-world' change;
- Janet de Lu, aka 55 steps - letterbox planter & hunter: on letterboxing;
- Mike Dickison, zoologist: on why, exactly, those birds are angry.
