The ancient Celtic ceremony and celebration of the Spring Equinox at Stonehenge Aotearoa.
The program begin in our theatre with a special presentation on the ancient traditions and starlore of the spring equinox. This will be followed by the Druidic & Wiccan ceremony of the spring equinox - Ostara, within the circle of stones. Weather permitting we will view the sun set over the equinox heel-stone the post of Hine-nui-tepo.
A feast was always part of this ancient ceremony and, after the ceremony, we travel to the Marquis Hotel at Carterton for an equinox feast. This part of the program is optional.
