Organikismness:
The long awaited sequel to the genre defying LP Form in Motion from New Zealand's wonderkid Organikismness is completed and scheduled for release in December 2011, on Organikismness's own recently launched imprint - Organik _ Audio.
The Skyscraper Delusion LP is not for those looking for the next forward progression from Form in Motion. It does not follow suit and aim to please the growing number of heavy dubstep heads screaming out for more ds and more 3s. No, in fact the LP offers something entirely different. There are, of course, tunes to make any bass face screw up and point fingers to the sky, but on a whole this LP heads in the opposite direction and showcases the deeper, experimental and minimal styles of production.
"That's been the beauty of writing for my own label, I can do absolutely whatever I want, so I have. This LP is really how I want to sound, not how people want me to sound or how I might think people want me to sound. It's not focussed on what's popular, it's focused on what I like about my music and what I think needs to be heard more." - Harry (Organikismness)
The Skyscraper Delusion LP sampler is out now and features 2 tracks, "Dark times" and "The Hiest".
Safire:
Combining depth & force with space & time, Safire has been energising the masses with an auditory experience of deep & tech-fueled Drum and Bass.
2008 saw a debut solo release on Climate Recordings, 'Dream Carrier' & 'Shadows'. We also saw the collaboration with Mindscape 'Heatstroke', which received global recognition and DJ play from the likes of Teebee & Calyx, Ed Rush and Optical, Noisia + many more. After a busy year in 2009 working in sound post & film production, we saw a short break in the production output, although 2010 has given solo releases 'The Source' & 'Dark Moments', on Germany's Mindtech Recordings. March 2011 has seen the landing of his first drop on Dispatch Recordings - a collaboration with Italian producer Dabs. Since then a musical relationship has been established with Dispatch label boss ANT TC1 and has since locked in 3 more Dispatch vinyl releases, including collaborations with the likes of Octane & DLR, Dabs & Borderline, which have been receiving support from the likes of Ulterior Motive, Alix Perez, SpectraSoul, Survival, Cern and Rockwell to name a few.
On the Dubstep tip, a collaboration with 3rdeye named 'Embryonics' was released on vinyl in Sep 2011 on the Requiem Audio imprint. More solo releases are due to follow on both Requiem & Area Recordings, titled 'Searching’ and 'Disperse'.
The end of 2011 will see Safire play shows around Australia and New Zealand, coinciding with the Dispatch #50 tour dates.
