OFF THE RACK is a competition for young fashion designers from a number of secondary schools who have designed and created a piece of clothing during the year in preparation for display at Sylvia Park.

There are two competing categories based on Year levels

Emerging Designers (Years 10 and 11)
Senior Designers (Years 12 and 13).
There are two design categories, which the students selected one of;

Urban/Streetwear e.g Jackets, screen prints, dresses
Creative Embellishment e.g wearable arts
There are 88 entrants from a number of schools in Auckland. The Schools participating are; ACG Senior College, Baradene College, Diocesan School for Girls, Epsom Girls Grammar School, Howick College, Saint Kentigern College, Saint Marys College.

The winning designers will be on display for the weekend of Friday 30 September to Sunday 2 October.
