Auckland Zoo - October school holidays

Auckland Zoo's newest precinct Te Wao Nui is open, so it's the perfect place for kids to explore these October school holidays from Saturday, 8 October to Monday, 24 October.

Each habitat in Te Wao Nui has so much to explore, so kids will be given an Explorer Diary to collect facts and record their thoughts on their journey to becoming a New Zooland Adventurer.

There will also be a few interesting characters to meet along the way, so kids should keep an eye out in The Coast, The Night and The High Country.

Children participating in the October school holiday experience at Auckland Zoo can enter a draw on-site to win:

- a family trip to Tiritiri Matangi Island, including ferry tickets from downtown Auckland, or

- one of three Friends of the Zoo family memberships for 12 months, or

- one of five New Zealand Menagerie board games.
