Open Source Forms - 2 day workshop with Stephanie Skura (USA).

Open Source Forms (OSF) accesses cross-fertilizations & deep commonalities of the intrinsic concepts of Skinner Releasing technique & creative process. Stephanie Skura draws from her extensive experience as core teacher & teacher trainer of SRT, as well as decades of innovative research & practice in improvisation & performance creation.

The two-day workshop at Soul Centre offers a taste of these practices. The six-day workshop offers opportunities for those who wish to go deeper. These workshops qualify as prerequisites for Open Source Forms Teacher Certification programs. Both workshops are rare opportunities to study directly with the creator of Open Source Forms.

"OSF offers tools to access depth, freedom, rigor & courage in performance, movement, & vocal practice. It catalyzes creative empowerment to adapt these methods & discover your own."

Stephanie Skura: radical & perpetual innovator & Bessie award-winner, has researched, performed & taught movement & inter-media work for three decades around the planet. Called “a major American experimentalist”, she has an international reputation for her adventurous work, performing and teaching in 30 of the United States and 14 countries. She has been a teacher & mentor for countless students, professionals & teachers worldwide. Her movement theatre work has inspired many contemporary artists. She is the recipient of numerous awards & commissions, & continues to investigate boundaries & intersections of dance, theatre, poetry and performance. Skura considers movement an activator of meaning, intuition, and structure, & believes that creative freedom is a source of wellness on the planet.
