Formed in 2001, The Graduate Choir NZ celebrates its 10th anniversary in style with a celebratory recital at Parnell's Holy Trinity Cathedral. Directed by Terence Maskell and presenting a mix of old favourites and new repertoire, the choir will remind everyone why it has long been considered one of New Zealand's best mixed-voice choirs. The recital will also feature the world premiere of a piece in Samoan, a significant newly-commissioned work by New Zealand composer Christopher Marshall. A concert for young and old alike, this will certainly be an occasion to remember.
On the same day the choir will also be singing at the 10am Eucharist in Holy Trinity Cathedral (service music will include Vierne's wonderful Messe Solennelle); this is free to all members of the public and will nicely complement the afternoon recital.
