'Kia Ora Koutou, Kia Ora Koutou, Kia Ora Koutou' is a collaborative cash and carry exhibition where artists are invited to respond to this exceptional time of the World Cup. This exhibition is an opportunity for local artists to communicate with international visitors, their own community and themselves all at the same time.
The exhibition features an ever-changing wall of edition prints that will form a Poutama step pattern. These works can be taken as they are sold, meaning visitors can take a piece of the exhibition away with them. In the tradition of cash and carry and souvenirs these prints will be priced to sell.
"Essentially this show will celebrate the richness of cultural diversity from the wider art community by showing together the strength of established and emerging artists through to acknowledging our younger generation of artists," says artist Alexis Neal.
Kids come along to make woven star brooches with artist Alexis Neal, only on Saturday 22 October 1.30-3.30pm.
