The More FM Carnivale fires up the festival straight after the Masked Parade. It’s party time in Trafalgar Street with great sounds from Batucada Sound Machine plus street performances, food stalls and Nelson’s own Kath Bee performing for the kids. 6.30pm–10.30pm

Sonic Live Zone 1903 8.30-11pm
Join the party as Sonic Live Zone 1903 kicks into gear. Catch one of the best live bands to come out of New Zealand, Midnight Youth, winner of Best Rock Album and Best Group at the 2009 New Zealand Music Awards! Hot on their heels are Knives At Noon direct from Dunedin and your ‘doom-pop’ fix.

Please note: there will be zero alcohol tolerance for underage drinking. Those with alcohol on them or under the influence will be banned from the event.

This year the Nelson Arts Festival is bigger and better than ever, as we showcase the arts to Rugby World Cup visitors.
