Helensville Festival 2011

A whole program of entertainment and events planned during September and October 2011 as part of the "Best of the West Festival" culminating on Saturday 8 October with our main event the "Helensville Community and Heritage Festival" from 9am to 3pm, and, from 3pm, entertainment and food in the War Memorial Hall and hall reserve and car park.

9am to 3pm - Township market day along Commercial Road and at the railway station and museum, plus heritage and cultural activities, live music, kids' entertainment, pipers and Haggis Address by members of Clan McLeod and a Wearable Trash Parade.

3pm to 10pm - Festival of youth entertainment on stage until 6pm featuring Rodney youth entertainers, Charlotte Silverstone, Savannah Cox & Emma Petersen, FLAM and The Westwoods.

"Picnic in the Ville", cafe food, sausage sizzle, doughnuts & shave ice. Free entry & free children's entertainment "Big Screen Entertainment" at 6pm Ireland V Wales and 8.30pm England V France.
