This 4-day course will provide students with practical, hands-on animation production experience using South Seas Animation School facilities and equipment. It is primarily designed to introduce students to the scope and content of the 2-year full time animation production course.

The course introduces students to animation techniques, workflow and concepts. Each day students will participate in a selection of practical workshops including:

• Visual development
• Character development and design
• Digital painting
• 3D character animation posing and expressions
• Flash animation
• Life drawing class with a live model
• Effects animation
• Introduction to Toonboom

Tutors use both traditional methods and training techniques of classical drawing and cutting edge visual learning and tutorials. The course tutors will also take time to discuss and answer questions about animation industry careers and the content and training methods of the South Seas 2 year full time Diploma in Animation Production.
