The event organised by the Christchurch Vegetarian Society is in celebration of World Vegetarian Day (Oct 1st) and World Animal Day (Oct 4th).
Christchurch is New Zealand vegetarian capital with more to offer vegetarians and vegans than anywhere else in the country. More than 10,000 vegetarians live here and the expo is our big day out.
The event is full of great food, cookery demonstrations from top veggie cooks and plenty of opportunities to learn about vegetarian/cruelty-free living from a wide range of workshops, as well as non-stop films. The expo will have many stalls including community shopping, free tasters and information.
Entertainment includes live DJs and a live string quartet. There will be plenty of activities for children including a bouncing castle.
