NZSM: YMP Concert No.2: Classical Performance

This concert will feature a wide range of performances from the the 2011 Young Musicians Programme. There will be performances from the YMP Gamelan Ensemble, as well some of the electroacoustic works from the Composition classes. Refreshments will be served in the interval followed by performances from the chamber groups and the Classical Performance classes: String Class tutored by Peter Garrity; Piano Class tutored by Judith Clark and Classical Voice Class tutored by Linden Loader.

NZSM Young Musicians Programme (YMP) was established in 1999 to enhance the opportunities available to gifted young musicians to prepare for future tertiary study in music. YMP is an auditioned Saturday programme designed to supplement regular private tuition and the school music curriculum. Students work with the cream of New Zealand’s performers, composers and music educators as well as overseas visitors and faculty from the New Zealand School of Music.

This concert will be held in the Adam Concert Room on the NZSM's Kelburn Campus at Victoria University of Wellington.
