This is a trail run staged on the stunningly beautiful northern Coromandel peninsula. There are 3 distances to choose from - 32k, 13k, and the ultra distance 80k. The 32k and 13k are both open for walkers - who start an hour earlier than the runners.

Winner of the event 2007 and 2008 Ben Ruthe has this to say about the Kauri Run "If you enjoy running because of the company of good friends, beautiful scenery and testing yourself then the Great Cranleigh Kauri Run is for you. With a real sense of community the event organisers really make you feel part of the family in this adventure run. I recommend it to anyone wanting a journey not just a race."
