Symphony No.9, D major

Marking the centenary of Mahler’s death, the APO performs his last complete, and arguably his greatest, symphony. Conducted by Eckehard Stier, this work tells of the joys of living as much as the sadness of the final farewell. “Mahler’s Ninth takes us into his very existence. It is life changing music,” Maestro Stier says.
