Be part of NZ poetry/spoken word history, as an audience member. 12 poets/performers from around New Zealand perform a piece 3 minutes or less, with audience as judges.
After a series of heats and finals in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch we have arrived here, come hear an amazing array of voices, styles and subject matter.
We will have 3 rounds, the first with all 12 poets, then the next of the top 9 and the third with the top 6, from the third round we will know the 1st NZ Poetry Slam Champ 2011
The winner and 2 runner ups been flown to Melbourne in March 2012 to be part of the 1st ever trans-Tasman Poetry Slam.
Come find poetry/spoken word fun, relevant and with something for everyone.
