As we all missed out on a great New Zealand International Jazz & Blues Festival in April (and because we couldn’t keep you waiting an entire year!), the New Zealand International Jazz & Blues Festival is pleased to present a stellar weekend of some of the best jazz & blues talent in the country.

Staged outdoors, the festivities kick off with Taste Jazz - featuring great jazz grooves from the Christchurch Youth Orchestra, SOLPAK, Nola Mills and the Tom Rainey Quartet, Sumo Jazz, the Rayna Creagh Quartet and the winner of 2011 music award for Best Jazz Album, Reuben Bradley Quartet.

In the evening, join us in the Hagley Park events dome to experience our very own jazz chanteuse Jennine Bailey and her Tribute to Ella Fitzgerald. This is a concert not to be missed. Tickets only $25 from Dash ticketing.

On Sunday November 6th prepare to have your socks blown off as Taste Blues takes to the stage. Don’t miss Christchurch’s blues stalwarts - One Foot in the Blues, Jon Hooker and Billy Vallance, Bobby Lee, Runaround Sue and Midge Marsden with the Harry Harrison band.

Two days, twelve bands and nothing but great music! Entry to Taste Jazz/Taste Blues is ‘free’ thanks to the support of Cavell Leith Law, the Christchurch City Council, Canterbury Community Trust, Lion Foundation, Pub Charity and Southern Trust.
