The Edge 91.7 Wellington presents MC Tiki Vs Dick Johnson. New Zealand's best MC and DJ on stage together for two huge Wellington parties: Friday 16 September, 2011. R18 show from 11pm @ Sandwiches.

Two of Aotearoa's finest music personalities, MC Tiki and DJ Dick Johnson, are coming to Wellington for two shows, not to fu*k the police, but to bring a message of freedom of speech, good times and positive vibes through music.

In April this year Tiki and Dick were involved in an incident at a Tauranga show. Tiki, 34, was handcuffed and arrested for disorderly behaviour likely to cause violence after singing the N.W.A. rap anthem F*** The Police. These charges were recently dropped after police opted to settle the controversial case out of court.

Now, Tiki is making sure his message is loud and clear by releasing the Freedom To Sing handcuff pendant.

"The Freedom To Sing pendant was an idea I came up with while sitting in jail," Tiki says. "I couldn't believe that I was in that bizarre situation, it was so surreal being arrested, handcuffed & thrown in jail for singing a song. I believe we all hold the key to our own freedom, no matter what is put in our way, and this pendant represents that. The truth will always set you free."

With the charges dropped Tiki and Dick are now free to incite good times and good vibes. "It's my job," Tiki says.

Following a series of sellout shows across the country the dynamite duo will perform two shows in one night - an early show for youngsters at The Frontroom and a late one at Sandwiches for adults.

Tiki will ignite the dance floor with his vocal fiyah, riding atop the massive beats of DJ Dick 'Magik' Johnson.
