What is a pantomime? A girl, who is actually a girl playing the part of a boy (the Hero), is the son of a man, who is actually playing the part of a woman (the Dame), will fall in love with a girl who is playing the part of a girl (the Heroine). Simple really!
From May 22nd this year, Kamo High School is proud to present “Aladdin” a pantomime by Norman Robbins. Kamo High School has a rich tradition of showcasing student talent as proven by recent productions of Guys and Dolls, Little Shop of Horrors, Smithy and Grease.
This year the school will present the classic pantomime Aladdin. Unlike Disney versions, this classic English pantomime is set in Peking, complete with audience participation and sing-alongs.
In true pantomime fashion, there is enjoyment for all ages as the script is full of humour and physical comedy.
The running time is approximately two and a half hours with a twenty minute intermission (during which time, a selection of snacks will be available for purchase).
