The Jam Jar is an offbeat alternative music night from Wales making its New Zealand debut in Wellington. Starting off as a humble little niche indie night on Thursdays at the City Arms (Cardiff), it grew to become a popular Saturday night affair at Y Fuwch Goch and occasionally Clwb Ifor Bach in central Cardiff.

We pride ourselves on playing a lot of things you won't hear anywhere else. Generally shunning the overtly overplayed commercial stuff that you're already sick of (right?), we play a lot of new, obscure or forgotten tracks and try to promote new bands as much as possible. Having said that, you'll still hear a lot of stuff you know, love and will want to dance to, mixed in. We're not monsters!
