Simultaneously the most and least pretentious show this festival, Highbrow, Lowbrow, Monobrow is a reflection of true Wellington.
It strikes a balance between the intellectual, witty, researched (bordering on smarmy) humour the capital tenders as a trump card in BBQ conversations; and the secretive-at-first love of simple, shallow, smirky and we’ll admit, crude jokes. Joyous crude jokes.
Watch three local comedians run the gamut of tasteful and tasteless in a tidy one-hour package.
Featuring:
- Nathan Winter - Upper Hutt’s answer to a question no one has ever asked.
"A breathless set... ended the show on a huge high" - Dominion Post, NZ
- Gareth Bradley - A periodically cerebral, cultured and tall comedian who both utilises and abandons these defining traits.
"His exacting wit was the highlight of the show” - Salient, NZ
- Matt Mullholland - Lowbrow musical comedy powerhouse, with a stunning 4 million views to his YouTube channel.
