The Whiskey Live 2011: Bic Runga with F In Math: SOLD OUT

The Whiskey Live is a series of concerts presented annually by The Whiskey bar as a celebration of New Zealand Music Month each May. Featuring a broad spectrum of New Zealand musicians performing one of a kind, limited capacity shows; The Whiskey Live is fast becoming a headline attraction of New Zealand Music Month each year.

Bic Runga, one of New Zealand's most successful female singer-songwriters is performing her beautiful brand of haunting popular music for one night only over NZ Music Month. Runga & band will perform some of her classics and unveil new material from her forthcoming album, currently being produced by the Mint Chicks’ Kody Nielsen (also in her band).

Playing support to Bic, F In Math is Michael Logie (bass player for The Mint Chicks/Bic Runga). Logie describes the sound of F In Math as "boy vocoder, girl computer, alien bass and robot drums".

Logie is currently putting the finishing touches on the debut F In Math EP which is scheduled for release in late April/early May on Flying Nun Records.

The NZ Music Month line up includes: A Hori Buzz, Andrew Keoghan, Anika Moa, Annabel Fay, Avalanche City, Barnaby Weir, Bic Runga, Cairo Knife Fight, Che Fu, Clap Clap Riot, Dave Dobbyn, Dave McArtney & Friends, Don McGlashan, Dukes, F In Math, Greg Fleming & The Trains, Greg Johnson, Hello Sailor, Jan Hellriegel, Jason Kerrison featuring The Babysitters Circus, Jonny Love, LA Mitchell, Luke Thompson, Motocade, Nairobi Trio, Nathan Haines and the Dream Band, People of Paris, The Peter Urlich Sextet, Ruby Frost, The Jordan Luck Band, The Thomas Oliver Band.
