It is with much regret that promoters Stewart & Tricia Macpherson are cancelling all shows of the forthcoming Three Dog Night New Zealand tour, scheduled to start in Rotorua on Friday 13th May.
Local and international news of the last two months, rising fuel prices, and even anticipation of the forthcoming budget have affected everyone. The New Zealand market has not responded as expected for this tour, with discretionary spending tightening up on many levels.
Cancelling a tour is never an easy decision and while all efforts have been made to retain the dates, it is evident that in this climate, it is not possible to make these shows work for all concerned.
Having sold forty million records in their career, this tour was to be chart topping Three Dog Night’s first visit to New Zealand since the early seventies. The group was eagerly anticipating returning to these shores and in an interview on Radio New Zealand, singer Danny Hutton announced he was planning to arrive earlier to spend time with friends.
Promoters Stewart & Tricia Macpherson apologise for any inconvenience caused to ticket-holders, and partners for this show, and thank them for their support.
Full ticket refunds are available at point of purchase.
