Twilight Walk - Women Walking for Hospice

The Twilight Walk is about women walking for Hospice – it is not a race or competition. It is all about sharing some female fun and friendship, while supporting the Hospice cause.

The purpose of the Twilight Walk is to raise funds to support the work of Hibiscus Hospice in caring for people affected by life-limiting illness in our community.

Hundreds of women will set off to experience the inaugural Twilight Walk. There are two picturesque route options, both of which culminate in a brief thank you ceremony with spot prizes outside the Orewa Surf Club, and a sausage sizzle.

The two Twilight Walk routes to choose from are;
1. The Lap – follows the Orewa Estuary walkway then goes on to Eaves Bush and back along the beachfront to the Surf Club.
2. The Loop – follows the Orewa estuary walkway and loops around Kingsway School and back to the Surf Club.

Aside from the $25 registration fee to enter, we encourage you to seek sponsorship for your walk from family, friends, colleagues and associates. There are two simple ways to do this:
1. Fundraise online. You can set up your own fundraising webpage - go to www.hchospice.org.nz for details on just how quick and easy this is;

2. Manual forms. On our website you will find sponsorship ideas and forms to assist you.

There are some great prizes to be won for the most sponsorship monies raised: Every individual, mother and daughter pair, ladies team, business or student team entered in the Twilight Walk has the chance to win a great prize. There’s a weekend travel package for two, a mother and daughter day experience, two group adventures and a catered breakfast lunch to be won.
