School of Rock students are standing up for human rights this month with a fundraising gig for Amnesty International. Students from all over Auckland are taking part in the event which will celebrate Amnesty’s 50th birthday. Geordie McCallum of Motocade, (who sing the hit song Holy Moly) will be headlining. The School of Rock students aged 14-18 will be campaigning to Stop the use of Child Soldiers in Chad. Top bands from schools including Epsom Girls' Grammar, Takapuna Grammar, Kings College and Auckland Boys' Grammar will take part in the event to raise awareness of human rights in a fun way.
The gig is all ages, alcohol-free.
Doors open 6pm, first band 6.30pm
All proceeds will go to the work of Amnesty International.
