Batucada Sound Machine are a dynamic 10-piece group who have captivated audiences at festivals around the world with their breathtaking variety of tempos, timings, beats, styles and raw on-stage energy.
The band’s three-piece samba/reggae percussion line-up and all star horn section intertwine Brazilian, funk, hip-hop, reggae and Pacific soul influences. The band released their debut album Rhythm And Rhyme in 2007, which featured vocals in Portuguese, Spanish and English and received favorable comparisons to Ozomatli, Manu Chao and Chico Science.
