To highlight the significant impact that allergies have on individuals and their families, for Allergy Awareness Week 2011 our theme is "No picnic" - because that's exactly how life is when you have allergy in the family - and without a doubt picnics are a challenge in themselves.
Through the higher profile achieved for allergy issues during Allergy Awareness Week we hope that non-sufferers will treat those who live with allergies with more compassion and understanding, and treat the condition with the respect it deserves.
