Auckland Youth Orchestra

New Zealand singer Tim Beveridge is teaming up with the Auckland Youth Symphony Orchestra (AYO) to present New York New York.

Directed by Antun Poljanich, New York New York will see Beveridge perform new orchestrations from the legendary composer Russell Garcia alongside music from his best-selling NZSO album 'Singer.'

Numbers include... On the Street Where You Live, In the Still of the Night, Night and Day, She, Almost Like Being in Love, So in Love, Summertime, Mack the Knife, Autumn Leaves, Smile.

The orchestra will also perform selections from Bernstein’s West Side Story.

The AYO is the leading training orchestra in New Zealand for professional musicians. Along with providing training to our future musicians, the orchestra also tours and presents concerts both nationally and internationally.

The group received the invitation to perform at the Young Euro Classic Festival in August this year following their recent tour of the United States. The Young Euro Classic Festival was established in 2000 to promote the world’s leading youth orchestras and is now regarded as one of the most prestigious events of its kind.
