Auckland soprano Amanda Kirk and mezzo Chloe Irwin Whitney together with harpists Brydie Johnston and friends Katy Carr and Nikki Ring will come together with pianist William Green, to perform a delightful concert of varied songs and music for Mothers Day in the beautiful surrounds of historic Highwic House in Epsom.
It is particularly appropriate to have a Mothers' Day celebration in this beautifully restored early Auckland house which was the original home of the 21 children of Alfred Buckland and his two wives.
The concert is made up of songs especially for mothers, about mothers and a selection of mothers' favourites. The afternoon will be compered by Cathie Harrop who is well known for her many successful concerts of early colonial music in treasured homes throughout New Zealand
Before the concert commences at 4pm, the audience will be greeted with a glass of wine or non-alcoholic refreshment and there will be time to view this beautiful bit of early Auckland.
Further information and tickets are available from joe@ihug.co.nz or phone 09 479 2361.
The concert will last approximately one hour and guests will be farewelled with a small treat.
