Join us to Tramp The Ned - a unique opportunity to climb ‘The Ned’, a 909m peak that is a defining feature of the Marlborough skyline.
Only 10 minutes from Blenheim on the privately owned property of Tempello, the walk will begin and end at the Taylor Pass Rd. Enjoy fabulous views of the Wairau and Awatere Valleys from the top (or from a lower climb to only the 1st saddle), and experience a conservation area teeming with native flora and fauna (rifleman birds, kanuka forest and mountain totara).
Last year over 300 people Tramped the Ned - and loved It! See the official website for full details, map/directions, etc. In the event of inclement weather, the postponement date is 22 May 2011.
Tramp The Ned is a fundraising event for Fairhall School.
