“If I set things down on a page and put words to the feelings, I feel more in control,” wrote Fiona Farrell in an email to her friends a week after the devastating earthquake on February 22. “Everything will have to be reconfigured, reimagined, our internal maps of the place will have to be redesigned.”
Five Canterbury writers – Carl Nixon, Fiona Farrell, Joanna Preston, Tusiata Avia and Sarah Quigley – reflect on their experiences and pay tribute to their “lost” city. Chairs: Ruth Todd and Morrin Rout, Programme Directors, The Press Christchurch Writers’ Festival.
