Back by popular demand, the Art of Dr Seuss is coming to Auckland for a limited time and includes a special release print marking the golden anniversary of The Sneetches and Other Stories. The wondrous characters and colourful worlds that Dr Seuss created will be on show for the viewing pleasure of children and adults of all ages, with a selection of 70 authorised estate editions including pieces from the Secret Art Collection, Unorthodox Taxidermy, Illustrations and Archival Collection. Many of the works are available for sale.
The written and visual works of Dr Seuss are timeless and The Sneetches is no exception. The Sneetches - some with stars on their bellies and some without. It is this star, or lack of it, that brilliantly teaches children about social injustice and the senselessness of discrimination.
