Tuatara is proud to present an exhibition by 2 fantastic local clay artists Davina Duke and Julie Cromwell.
Davina Duke is an established ceramic artist and a member of the Nga Kaihanga Uku Maori Clayworkers Collective. She has iwi affiliations to Ngati Wai, Ngati Rehua, Taitokerau and Patuharakeke and is currently teaching the Maori Art component at Kamo High School. Julie Cromwell is originally from Leeds in England and trained as a studio potter before going teaching and is a currently Head of the Art Department at Kamo High School.
These two artists have decided to use this experience to explore the possibilities of collaboration within their shared discipline and the exhibition will include thrown, hand built and slab work. It promises to be an exciting and elegant show. We hope to see you there.
