WIT is back! The first half of every show will see rapid fire Theatresports-style crash and burn improv action in Micetro Improv Comedy - come along and cheer for your favourite WITsters as they vie for a spot in the All-Star Micetro finals, which will take place during the Comedy Festival.
The second half of each show will feature a whole new improvised adventure, with 3 different shows this season:
9, 16 & 23 March - Here Be Dragons: An improvised role-play adventure with dull swords and sharp WITs!
30 March, 6 & 13 April - CSI Wainui: A grizzly murder in the Hutt. A killer on the loose. But why now? Why here? Wainui?
20 & 27 April - WIT Dreamz: Hop into bed with WIT! See your dreams and nightmares come true on stage!
The Wellington Improvisation Troupe (WIT) is Wellington’s not-for-profit, community-based improvisational theatre group. WIT performs and teaches the skills of improvisational theatre at community venues around the Wellington region.
Theatre is made up on the spot by some of Wellington’s leading improvisers and courageous newcomers alike, based on suggestions from the audience. WIT players share a love of storytelling and work together as a team to inspire the audience. WIT theatre is sometimes serious, often hilarious and always totally unpredictable.
